Privacy Policy

Who this covers
Gable is transaction-management software for real estate agents and their clients, operated by Gable Technologies Inc., an Ontario corporation (Ontario Corporation Number 1001770070). This policy covers the Gable website at getgable.ca and the Gable mobile apps for iOS and Android.
What we collect
Account information, your name, email address, phone number, brokerage, and anything you choose to add to your profile such as a photo or bio.
Transaction information, the listings, buyers, offers, conditions, documents, showings and notes you enter or upload, and property data retrieved from the MLS® on your behalf.
Device information, if you turn on push notifications, we store the notification token for that device so we can send them. Nothing else about the device is collected.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Biometrics
If you turn on the app lock, Face ID or your fingerprint is checked by your phone's operating system. Gable is told only whether the check passed. We never receive, transmit or store your biometric data.
Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar is optional, and Gable asks for the narrowest access that does the job: permission to manage calendar events, and your Google account email address so we can show you which account is connected. We do not request access to your Gmail, your contacts, your files, or anything else.
Gable does not read your calendar. We never list, retrieve or scan the events already in it. The connection is used in one direction only: to create, update and remove the specific events Gable itself authors, namely closing dates, listing expiries, condition deadlines and appointments from your transactions. Each carries an identifier of ours, and those are the only events we ever touch.
We store the access and refresh tokens Google issues, the email address of the connected account, and the identifiers of the events we created. Google user data is never sold, never used for advertising or ad targeting, never used to train machine learning or AI models, and never shared with anyone beyond the service providers below who host it on our instructions.
You can disconnect at any time from Settings. Doing so asks Google to revoke our access and deletes the stored tokens, so we can no longer reach your calendar even if you never delete your Gable account. Events already written stay in your calendar and are yours to keep or remove.
Outlook Calendar
Connecting Outlook or Microsoft 365 is optional. Microsoft does not offer a permission limited to calendars an app creates, so Gable asks for permission to manage your calendars, your account email address so we can show which account is connected, and continued access so the sync keeps running. We do not request access to your mail, contacts or files.
Gable does not read your calendar. The one thing it looks at is the list of your calendars' names, to find or create the one named Gable. Every event it creates, updates or removes is in that calendar, and is one Gable wrote itself: closing dates, listing expiries, condition deadlines, showings, open houses and appointments from your transactions.
We store the access and refresh tokens Microsoft issues, encrypted, the email address of the connected account, and the identifiers of the events we created. Disconnecting in Settings deletes the stored tokens at once, so we can no longer reach your calendar. Microsoft keeps a record that you approved Gable until you remove it in your Microsoft account; the tokens we deleted expire there on their own. Events already written stay in the Gable calendar unless you choose to have Gable delete that calendar when you disconnect.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the product: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Amazon Web Services (email delivery), Repliers (MLS® data), Google Firebase (push notification delivery), Stripe (billing), and Anthropic (language model processing, described below). Each processes data on our instructions. Some of them process it outside Canada, including in the United States. If you connect Google Calendar, Microsoft (Outlook Calendar) or Meta, data is shared with those services only as you direct: for a calendar, the titles, dates, times, addresses and notes of the events Gable writes into it.
Stripe receives your account email address, an identifier for your organization and the plan you choose when you start a subscription. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and go to Stripe directly; Gable never receives or stores them.
Anthropic provides the language models that read documents and draft text for you to review. What is sent is the material each task needs: an agreement of purchase and sale you upload, the file itself and its text, for its details to be read out; a listing's address, price, view, showing and social figures, comparable sales, showing feedback and next step, when a seller update is drafted; the same with its conditions, closing date and your recent notes on it, when a briefing on a listing is prepared for you; a showing email forwarded to your Gable address, including the showing agent's name and contact details, so the booking can be recorded; your deals' addresses and client names with a request you type or dictate to the assistant, so it can tell which deal you mean; and your year's deal and commission figures for the business review; and a photo of a receipt you scan on the expenses page, sent as a link that expires after ten minutes, so its total, tax, date and vendor can be read into the form for you to check. Anthropic returns the result to us and it is stored in Gable. The receipt photo itself is stored privately in Gable and deleted with the expense or with your account.
You can turn this off at any time in Settings, under Privacy, and the Gable app asks once when you first sign in. While it is off, nothing is sent to Anthropic on your behalf.
Advertising on our marketing pages
Our public marketing pages (the home page, the product pages, pricing and the trial signup page) load ad measurement cookies from Meta and LinkedIn, so we can tell which of our ads brought someone here and what a signup costs.
You can opt out with the Opt out button at the bottom of any of those pages. We remember it in a cookie called gable_ad_optout for 2 years. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt out.
Unless you opt out, we also tell Meta and LinkedIn from our own server when you join the waitlist or start a trial. We send your email address only as a one-way hash, never the address itself, along with a hashed internal id and the time. Meta also receives your IP address and browser user agent, which its tag would collect in your browser anyway. We never send your name, phone number or brokerage.
These tags never run when you are signed in to Gable, inside our apps, or on any page an agent shares with their client. If you are a seller or buyer reading about your own property, no advertising tag loads on that page, and nothing about you or your property is sent to an advertising platform.
Meta and LinkedIn handle this information under their own privacy policies. You can also block these tags with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker, and everything else will keep working.
Deleting your account
The person who pays for a workspace can delete it at any time from Settings, Account, inside the app, which closes it for everyone on the team. Anyone else on a team leaves it from the same page, and can then delete their own sign-in. No email or phone call is required.
Your sign-in, profile, contact details, notification tokens and connected-service credentials are permanently deleted immediately.
One exception, stated plainly: if your account holds real estate transaction records, those records are retained by the brokerage rather than deleted, because Ontario real estate regulation requires the brokerage to keep them. They are unlinked from you and your login is permanently disabled. Before you confirm deletion, the app tells you exactly which records this applies to. If your account holds no such records, everything is deleted outright.
How long we keep things
Account and personal information is kept until you delete your account. Transaction records are kept for the period required of a brokerage under Ontario law. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
Your choices
You can access and correct your information in Settings, turn push notifications off in Settings or in your phone's system settings, and delete your account as described above. You may also ask us for a copy of your information.
