Why didn't my Facebook or Instagram post attach to the listing?
A post attaches by itself only when Gable can read it from a connected Page and can tell, from the caption, which one listing it is about.
Check these in order
- 1Is your Page connected? Open Settings > Facebook and Instagram. If it says "Not available", connecting is not available on your account, so nothing attaches by itself. Add posts by hand with Add a post.
- 2Has the connection run out? Facebook stops sharing after 90 days. If you see Reconnect by or an expired notice, press Reconnect with Facebook.
- 3Does the caption name the listing's street address or its MLS number? Writing "St" for "Street", a unit number, a hashtag of the address or the address in French all count. A caption with only a neighbourhood or a price does not.
- 4Is the listing Active, Conditionally sold or Pending? Posts only attach to those.
- 5Could it fit two listings? A post that matches two is left off both.
- 6Was it posted recently? Gable reads your Page once a day, so a post from today may not attach until the next day.
Add it by hand
On the listing, press Add a post, choose Facebook or Instagram, and press Add beside the post. Paste a post link instead takes a link to one of your Page's posts from the last 60 days.
Note: a post you removed with Remove from this listing is never added back to that listing on its own. Add it by hand if you change your mind.
If that doesn't work
- Boosted reach and collab posts are not in what Gable reads. Use Type the numbers yourself.
- The post is on the wrong listing: open its menu and choose Move to another listing.
- Still missing after a day: open Chat with Support with the post's link and the listing address. Or email support@getgable.ca.
