What the Dashboard and Tasks show

The Dashboard is your day, and Tasks is every open task. Both read the same list, so their counts always agree.

The To do card on the Dashboard

  • Transaction tasks and Needs attention are the two views. Each shows its count, so nothing waiting on the other side is hidden.
  • Overdue: open tasks whose due date has passed. Shown in red, first.
  • Today: open tasks due today.
  • No date: open tasks with no due date. The first few show; press Show all to see the rest.
  • Tomorrow and Later: closed by default. Open them to see what is coming.
  • cleared today: how many tasks you ticked off today.
  • On a phone, a short line under the title gives the count overdue, due today and deadlines this week. A count of zero is left out.

Needs attention

  • Groups deal items by urgency: Due now, Money, Coming up, Client follow-ups, Setup and Details to fill in.
  • Coming up means a condition due within three days, or a closing within a week with tasks still open.
  • Client follow-ups means a seller with no update sent through Gable in 10 days or more, or a seller or buyer with no email on file. Gable only counts what it sent, so a call or a text you sent yourself does not clear it. Dismiss the item once you have been in touch.
  • Details to fill in is a deal with blanks in its file. It is housekeeping, never a deadline, so it is not listed with the dated tasks.
  • An item with no deadline can be dismissed once you have dealt with it. It stays away until its facts change. The dismissed count at the bottom brings them back into view, and Hide dismissed hides them again.

Radar

  • The Radar card opens on a month calendar. A coloured dot marks each day that has something on it: listing expiries, closings, conditions and open houses, closing anniversaries of past deals, and your dated tasks.
  • Press a day to list what falls on it under the calendar. Today is chosen when the page opens.
  • Use All, Expiries, Anniversaries or Follow-ups to see the full list for that kind, grouped by date. View all shows everything. Press Calendar to go back to the month.
  • Follow-ups are your open tasks with a due date. Anniversaries are the yearly return of a closed deal's closing date.

The Tasks page

  1. 1Open Tasks. The line under the title gives the active, overdue and due today counts.
  2. 2Filter with All statuses, Overdue, Due today or Next 7 days. On a phone use the All, Overdue, Today and Upcoming chips.
  3. 3Search with Search by task or property.
  4. 4Press Create task to add a one-off task to a listing or buyer. Attach to starts empty, so pick the deal under Pick a listing or buyer first. Due date and Notes are optional.
  5. 5By property on the side groups your open tasks by deal.
  6. 6Completed tasks, under the open list, is closed by default. Open it to see the tasks you ticked off on your deals in progress, each with the deal it belongs to. Press Undo on one you ticked by mistake and it goes back on the list.

Dates in this year show as a month and day. A date in another year shows the year too, so a typo in the year stands out.

Why so many tasks have no date

  • A task only gets a date when its roadmap ties it to one, such as two weeks before closing, or when you set one.
  • Tasks tied to a date the deal does not have yet, like the closing date, stay undated until you enter that date.
  • To date them, set Due on the task in Roadmaps, or enter the deal's dates in Transaction details. See Roadmaps and editing tasks.

If that doesn't work

  • The counts differ between the Dashboard and Tasks: check both are on the same Mine or Team view. A Details to fill in item is counted with the overdue tasks but listed under Needs attention.
  • A task you expected is missing: see My tasks are empty, or template tasks are missing.
