How do I hand a deal or a task to a teammate?
Change the Deal owner at the top of the deal to hand over the whole deal, or tap a task's initials to give that one task to someone.
Hand over a deal
- 1Open the listing or buyer deal. At the top you see Deal owner and the owner's name.
- 2Press Change and pick anyone on the team.
- 3The deal's tasks that were not given to anyone by name move to the new owner. A task given to someone by name stays with them.
- 4The new owner gets a notification.
Hand over one task
- 1On the Dashboard, Tasks or the deal's roadmap, find the task. On a team every task shows the initials of the person it is for.
- 2Tap the initials to open Who it is for and choose someone. The current Deal owner is marked.
- 3That person gets a notification, and the task moves to their Mine view. Anyone on the team can reassign a task.
Send assistant work to one person
- 1The owner or an Admin opens Settings > Team settings and chooses someone under Who handles assistant work. It saves as you choose.
- 2In Roadmaps, set For to Assistant on the tasks that person should do. Every task starts as Agent.
- 3From then on, new deals send their Assistant tasks to that person. Choose someone else later and the open assistant tasks move to them, except any you reassigned by hand. With Nobody (the deal owner), the setting does nothing.
Note: Mine and Team change what you are looking at, never what you are allowed to see. Mine shows the deals you own and the tasks that are yours; Team shows everyone's.
If that doesn't work
- There is no Deal owner line or initials: you are on a one-person account. Invite someone first. See How do I add an assistant or teammate?.
- You cannot change Who handles assistant work: only the owner and Admins can. See Owner, Admin and Agent: who can do what.
- A handed-over task does not show for the new person: they may be on Team view looking for it under someone else's name, or on Mine with a filter on. Ask them to clear the filter on Tasks.
