An old email link opens Settings instead of the right page. Why?
Settings used to be one long page, and older emails link to it. Gable now sends each old link to the page that part lives on.
What happens to an old link
- A link to a part of the old page, such as the MLS section or your mailing address field, opens that page and that field.
- A link to Settings with no section opens Profile on a computer, and the Settings list on a phone.
- A link in an older email that asks you to add your mailing address lands on Settings. Open Profile and fill in Brokerage mailing address.
Steps
- 1Read what the email asked you to do.
- 2In Settings, open the page from the list: Profile, Notifications, Calendars and so on.
- 3Make the change there.
Note: newer emails link straight to the right page, so this only happens with mail sent before Settings was split up.
If that doesn't work
- The link opens "This page is not here": what it pointed to was removed. See A page won't load.
- You cannot find where a setting moved: see the list in Settings didn't save, or open Chat with Support. Or email support@getgable.ca.
