How do I remove a seller's access?

Press Remove client on their row in the listing's Clients card. Their access ends straight away: they are signed out, their portal closes and the report links in their emails stop working.

Steps

  1. 1Open the listing and go to the Roadmap tab. This works on a computer or a phone.
  2. 2In the Clients card, find the person.
  3. 3Press the remove icon at the end of their row. Its label is Remove client.
  4. 4Confirm with Remove client.

What happens next

  • They are signed out and can no longer open the listing's portal. If they are also your client on another deal, they stay signed in and lose only this listing.
  • The Read the full report links in the emails they already have stop working, including any copy they forwarded. The link opens a page titled This link has ended.
  • They get no more emails from the listing.
  • Anyone else on the listing keeps their access, and their next report email carries a fresh link.
  • The Clients card lists them under the other sellers with "Removed" and the date.

To give them access again, add their email with Add client on a computer and press Invite.

Nobody else can open the report

The report opens only for your clients on that deal, signed in, after accepting the portal terms. There is no setting that opens it to anyone with the link, so removing the seller is all it takes.

Note: Removing a client is the right step for a wrong address, a seller who has changed agents, or a falling-out between owners. After a normal closing you do not need to do anything: the portal turns read-only 90 days after the closing date on its own. See Client privacy and removing access.

If that doesn't work

  • They can still open a report: they should not be able to, since removal signs them out. Tell support with the listing address.
  • You see "Could not remove that client. Try again.": refresh the page and press it again.
  • Still stuck? Open Chat with Support, or email support@getgable.ca, with the listing address and the email you removed.
