My seller says they are not getting the emails. What do I check?
Start at the top of Gable, then the listing's Clients card. One of these is almost always the reason.
Steps
- 1Look for a banner across the top of Gable that says "Client emails are switched off while Gable finishes setup." While it shows, nothing goes to any client, and you do not need to do anything. See Client emails are paused.
- 2Open the listing and find the Clients card. Check the seller's email address letter by letter. A typo is the most common cause. To fix it, remove the wrong one with the Remove client icon and add the right one with Add client. Adding is done on a computer.
- 3Check your Notifications page for "Client email is on hold, brokerage mailing address needed". Canadian anti-spam law requires your brokerage mailing address on every client email. Add it in Settings > Profile, under Brokerage mailing address, and the emails send again.
- 4If you are the account owner, open Billing. A line such as "Your clients' emails have been paused" means billing has lapsed. Updating billing starts the emails again with the next scheduled send.
- 5For the weekly reports only: a listing missing the week's views still sends, without the views line. See My report went out without views.
- 6Ask your seller to check their spam or junk folder, and to add the sender to their contacts. The emails come in your name from reports@getgable.ca, and replies go to you.
- 7Ask your seller whether they pressed Unsubscribe from these updates at the bottom of an earlier email. That stops the emails for that listing, and Gable will not send them again.
Note: Gable does not show you on screen that a seller unsubscribed, or that their address bounced. If you have ruled out everything above, we can check both for you in Chat with Support.
If that doesn't work
- Open Chat with Support with the listing's address and the seller's email. A wrong email to a client is treated as high priority. Or email support@getgable.ca.
- If the seller only missed one email, send it by hand from the listing once the issue is fixed. Gable does not resend missed emails on its own.
