Client emails are paused: what it means

If you see "Client emails are switched off while Gable finishes setup. Nothing is sent to your clients yet, and you do not need to do anything." across the top of the app, Gable has client email switched off for everyone. You have not broken anything.

What is paused

Every email that would go to a seller, a buyer or anyone else who is not on your team:

  • the Monday, Wednesday and Friday emails
  • portal invites
  • deadline, closing and waiver emails
  • market alerts and appointment confirmations

If you press a send button while the pause is on, you see "Nothing was sent: client emails are paused right now."

What still works

  • Everything in the app: listings, buyers, tasks, roadmaps, showings, comparables and the weekly numbers.
  • Your seller's portal, for anyone who can already sign in.
  • Preview as client, so you can see exactly what your seller will get.
  • Send test to me on a listing's Reports tab. A test goes to you, not your client, so it is not paused.
  • Email to you and your team: the morning brief, the week ahead, report prep, team invites and billing.

When it lifts

When Gable turns client email on, the notice goes away and the next scheduled email goes out as normal. Nothing is saved up while paused, so your seller does not get a pile of old emails the day it lifts.

Note: Get ready while you wait. Add your sellers' emails, connect each listing's REALTOR.ca report, and send yourself a test, so the first real email is right.

A different notice: billing

If the notice instead says "Client emails are paused because this account's billing has lapsed", that one is about your account, not Gable's setup. Update billing on the Billing page and client emails start again with the next scheduled send.

If that doesn't work

  • The notice stays after client email has been turned on for everyone: refresh the page, then sign out and back in.
  • A send is refused with a different message: read it, it names the cause. A missing brokerage mailing address is the most common one. Add it in Settings > Profile.
  • Still stuck? Open Chat with Support, or email support@getgable.ca.
