Why didn't my REALTOR.ca link fill in the listing?
Gable reads the public REALTOR.ca page once, when you press Read the page. If it could not, the box says why in one line, and you can still type into every field below it.
The link box is being switched on account by account. If your form does not show Start with a REALTOR.ca link yet, type the details into the form instead.
What the message means
- It asks for the listing's own page: the link is a search, a map or another site. Open the listing on REALTOR.ca and copy the link from the address bar. It starts with realtor.ca/real-estate/ and a number.
- "REALTOR.ca did not let Gable read that page just now. Fill in the details below, or try again later.": REALTOR.ca turned the request away or asked Gable to slow down. Gable waits before asking it again rather than retrying. Type the details in.
- "REALTOR.ca could not be read just now. Try again in a minute, or fill in the details below.": the page did not answer. Press Read the page again in a minute.
- "That page is not on REALTOR.ca any more. Check the link.": the listing has been taken down, or the link has a typo.
- "Gable could not find the listing details on that page. Fill them in below.": the page answered but held no address Gable could read.
- "Too many links read.": wait the seconds it names, then press Read the page again.
Some fields stayed blank
- The price: REALTOR.ca no longer shows the home for sale, so no price is read. Gable never reads a sold price.
- Bedrooms or bathrooms: the page did not give them as one plain number, for example full and half baths written together. Type them in.
- The property type: the page did not state it. Pick one; it decides the listing's roadmap.
Note: nothing is saved by reading a link. Fill in what is missing and press Create listing.
If that doesn't work
- The listing is not on REALTOR.ca yet: start it as Pre-listing from its address. See My listing is not on REALTOR.ca yet.
- A field filled in wrong: change it before you press Create listing, or later on the listing page.
