Add a listing from a REALTOR.ca link

Paste the public REALTOR.ca link for your listing into the add listing form. Gable reads that public page and fills in what it shows. There is nothing to sign and nothing to connect first.

The link box is being switched on account by account. If your form does not show Start with a REALTOR.ca link yet, type the details into the form instead.

Steps

  1. 1Open the listing's own page on REALTOR.ca and copy the link from your browser's address bar. It starts with realtor.ca/real-estate/ and a number.
  2. 2In Gable, open Transactions and press Add listing. A panel titled New listing opens.
  3. 3Paste the link into Start with a REALTOR.ca link and press Read the page.
  4. 4When it has read the page you see "Filled in from REALTOR.ca. Check every field before you create the listing." Check each field against the listing.
  5. 5Add what the page does not show: Commission %, Seller name, Source and, if you have it, Seller email.
  6. 6Press Create listing. You land on the new listing with its roadmap and tasks already in place.

Note: reading the page saves nothing. The listing is only created when you press Create listing, and every field stays yours to change.

What Gable reads from the page

  • The street address and the city.
  • The asking price, while the page shows the home for sale. The status is set to Active for you.
  • Bedrooms, bathrooms and the property type, when the page states them.
  • The date it was listed, when the page shows one.
  • The MLS number the page shows. It is kept with the listing so your REALTOR.ca statistics report finds it.

Gable reads the public page once, when you press Read the page. It does not copy the photos or keep the link.

Comparable listings

Comparable listings come from public REALTOR.ca listing pages too, never from a board feed and never with a sold price. See Where do comparable listings come from?.
