The closing countdown looks off by a day
Countdowns count whole calendar days from today to the date, using the calendar day in Eastern time. They do not count hours, so the number changes at midnight, not at the time of day you entered the deal.
How to read a countdown
- 7d means the date is seven calendar days from today.
- 0d means the date is today.
- Past due means the date has gone by.
- The colour turns amber at five days or fewer and red under three.
So a closing on Friday reads 1d on Thursday and 0d on Friday, wherever your client is when they look.
Check the date itself
Most countdowns that look wrong have the wrong date behind them.
- 1Open the deal and find the Transaction details card.
- 2Press Edit and check Closing date against the agreement.
- 3Fix it and press Save. The countdown, your buyer's portal and your connected calendar all update together.
Note: Your client sees the same countdown as you, worked out the same way, so the two never disagree.
If that doesn't work
- The date is right and the countdown is still a day out: note the deal, the date and the countdown you see, then open Chat with Support, or email support@getgable.ca. It is a bug and we want it.
