Does Gable read the other events in my calendar?
No. Gable writes your deal dates into a separate calendar named Gable and does not read your own appointments.
Outlook and Microsoft 365 calendars are not available on your account. Your dates land in Google Calendar.
Google Calendar
- Gable asks Google for the narrowest permission there is: access only to calendars Gable itself creates. Google will not let it see a single event it did not write.
- It cannot check your free or busy times, and it cannot see your other calendars or who you meet.
- The card in Settings > Calendars says so in plain words: "Nothing else in your calendar is read or changed."
Outlook
- Microsoft does not offer the same narrow permission, so the Outlook sign-in asks for calendar read and write access.
- Gable still writes only to the calendar named Gable that it makes in your account, and does not read your other events.
What Gable keeps
- Your Google or Microsoft address, to show Connected as on the card.
- The access needed to write to the Gable calendar. Pressing Disconnect deletes it straight away.
Note: because Gable cannot see your calendar, it cannot warn you that a showing clashes with another appointment. Check your own calendar before you confirm a time.
If that doesn't work
- If you would rather Gable had no calendar access at all, see Disconnect a calendar. Your dates stay in Gable on the Calendar page.
